Testimonial for Famous Five band:

The Famous Five Band more than exceeded our expectations when they played at our wedding. You can never be completely sure when booking a band (unless you have seen them before) but we would highly recommend the Famous Five Band to anyone looking for a professional band for their wedding or event.

Many of our guests commented how much they enjoyed the band as well and this was proven by just about every one of our guests getting up and dancing by the end of the night - old and young!

From our first enquiry right through to our wedding Mike and the band were very helpful, friendly and accommodating of our requirements.

Having the Famous Five Band play at our wedding reception was a brilliant ending to a fantastic day.

I have had a number of emails today from people who would like me to pass on their thanks and praise. I don't think many sat down all evening! The sets you performed pleased everyone. I believe next year's Captain has already spoken to you, re a return visit, so hopefully we will "bop" to your music in 2009.

Sorry this has taken so long to reach you, but I was waiting for some more photos to come but as they haven’t yet I thought I would email you anyway. I have attached some photos, please feel free to use any if they are a help (won’t be offended if you don’t!!).

The band were absolutely fantastic and really rounded off our wonderful day in the best possible way. So many people have commented on what great music was played, how you played for the kids whilst we were still stuck giving / listening to speeches and generally what a good choice of band we had made!

Thank you so much, it was a pleasure dealing with you all both before and on the big day. I would have no hesitation to recommend the Famous Five Band for any event requiring a live band.

Guildford Operatic Society fund-raiser

Hi Band,

Thank you all so much for giving us such a nice time last night. One can tell how much we enjoyed your music by the clapping and the number of people on the dance floor. I was surprised that a lot of people danced to the fast songs as well, taking into account the age group there!

We hope to have raised a few hundred pounds last night to add to the orchestra fund. It's very expensive to produce an opera and we have never made a profit over the years.

Hi Mike!

It only took you a couple of weeks to get back to us and I'm ashamed to say it has taken us more than a couple of months to return your email.

We had a thoroughly fantastic time at our party and so did all our friends by the comments we received afterwards. Your performances were really professional and catered for our enormous age range 8-80 perfectly with something for everyone. Everyone really appreciated the quieter party background music in between the live sets. So many people had not seen each other for so long they also needed to talk as well as dance and the music was just loud enough to keep the party spirit alive, but also allow some conversation.

We would not hesitate to recommend you in the future...one of my friends (who was at the party) has recently asked for your number and my husband and I are involved in a couple of schools who regularly hold school balls and think you would be better than previous bands we have used for these occasions...so watch this space!

Hi - sorry not to have got back to you sooner, but I wanted to send you a testimonial to put on your website. John [the Groom] - hope you don't mind -

I recommend Famous Five Band. They are great.
The band played at my son & daughter-in-law's wedding in the Burley Manor Hotel in the New Forest on June 20th.
They played a range of very convincing covers from 60s to present and quickly had a great rapport with the guests whose ages ranged from 4 to 74
They even didnt complain when a number of the 20 somethings used their mics to sing Hey Jude while the band packed up at the end.
If I need a band again I would not hesitate to book them.

Thanks for your email, we really enjoyed the event at The Saddlers Arms and it was great to meet you. We loved the sound of The Famous Five and are really excited that you are going to play at our wedding reception. We particularly liked Simon and Julia's harmonies and would be thrilled if they could both be there.
We anticipate an 8pm start for the band, and will be in an adjoining room, so you can arrive and set up whenever is convenient to you. We will keep you posted of anything different as we still need to finalise a few more details with our reception venue.
